Roper Center Awarded CoreTrustSeal Certification

We are pleased to announce the Roper Center has been awarded the CoreTrustSeal certification for 2017-2019. The CoreTrustSeal has been developed by the Data Seal of Approval (DSA) and the ICSU World Data System (WDS) and is intended to replace both certifications as the first step in a global framework for repository certification. The standard for certification is a rigorous one, designed to ensure that data repositories meet ever-evolving best practices for data curation and preservation. The application process involves a self-assessment of technology, policies, procedures, staffing, and institutional planning reviewed by peers in the data archives community. The Roper Center is proud to be among the first data repositories in the world to attain the CoreTrustSeal, thereby assuring the public opinion research community that our uniquely valuable data collection will remain preserved and accessible for future generations of researchers.
